The European Union start finds the academic institution of Gorj under the sign of Brancusi’s archetypal values that are visible everywhere.
With a courageous fervor, joining almost all the academic codes, the university did not avoid either the disillusion or the tragic or the sordid or the achievements since the famous praiseworthiness does not have to be an advertising heraldry, because the time of the outlaws-heroes ready to sacrifice themselves for a creed has set for a long time. We are now a sole body consisted of a single texture whose values are stated hic et nunc, in a continuous and unalterable present.
Within this context an academic offensive is required, but it is advisable that it should not be a fruitless and formal exercise especially because any counterfeit step would sound unnecessarily noisy. The common matrix of our university’s success might come from here. The aesthetical and scientific optimism that opposes the resentments towards ignorance might eat us up us. The best example about the way such a devastating mixture may affect a university is the lack of self-denial instinct in which the verb of European embodiment should reside and be the joint ideal. The structural engagement within the development of the university in finding the note of European identity is a desideratum of the new leadership, a deed absolutely necessary, so that any distorted perception should melt in a memory.
We are all some wonderers both thrilled and tormented just like the great names of the European university education, who want to say incandescent things become a reason to neighbor with the research ecstasy, who want to become some Calvin of a life based on social and scientific involvement where the decompressed thinker should develop his ideas. Neither can the audience of our university be neglected or transformed in a fetish because otherwise the basic role of this academic institution, which is absolutely cultural and scientific, would vanish.
Only in this manner will each of us students and teaching staff be able to say, passing through the academic life here, the Moorish has accomplished his duty.
